Mitchell has served our community professionally for more than 35 years in the grocery industry, building a reputation for hard work, service, and commitment to the people around him.For decades, Mitchell has also dedicated his personal time to studying the Tennessee and U.S. Constitutions and defending the principles of individual liberty and limited government. Through leadership and involvement in nonpartisan organizations such as Campaign for Liberty, he has worked to ensure that the voices of everyday citizens are heard.

Mitchell believes government should work for the people—not the other way around. He fights for individual liberty, constitutional principles, and the citizens of our community.

Education: Raising the Standard

Every Memphis child deserves a quality education and the opportunity to succeed. As a state representative, I will work to:
Strengthen early literacy and math through targeted tutoring and intervention.
Support teachers with better resources, training, and retention initiatives.
Expand career and technical education to prepare students for good-paying jobs.
Increase parental involvement and school accountability with clear measures of student progress.
Direct resources where they are needed most while demanding measurable results.

Government Integrity & Accountability

Taxpayers deserve a government that is transparent, accountable, and responsible with every dollar. As a state representative, I will advocate for greater transparency in government spending, stronger oversight of taxpayer-funded programs, and clear accountability for results.

Maternal & Infant Health

Every mother and baby deserves a healthy start. District 93 faces serious maternal and infant health challenges, and we need practical solutions that reach families before problems become crises.As a state representative, I will advocate for:

  • Better access to prenatal and postpartum care.

  • Expanded maternal health and parenting education.

  • Greater access to doulas, nurses, and community health workers.

  • Expanded telehealth and care coordination for mothers who face barriers to care.

  • Stronger support for high-risk pregnancies and newborns.

  • Better use of health data to identify and address preventable infant deaths.

  • Programs that help young mothers build the education, skills, and economic stability needed to support their families.

  • Creating strong partnerships with local churches to identify and reach those in need while providing education, resources, and meaningful community support.

We cannot simply accept high infant mortality rates as inevitable. We must work together to ensure mothers have the knowledge, healthcare, and support they need—and that every baby has the opportunity for a healthy start.

Families in District 93 are working hard, but rising costs are making it harder to get ahead. As a state representative, I will advocate for policies that reduce unnecessary costs, support small businesses, attract good-paying jobs, and expand opportunities for Tennesseans to build financial security.
